Swim Baby Swim is a Baby and Toddler as well as Learn-to-Swim and Stroke Correction swimming school based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town that uses carefully created and structured programmes that are progressive (yet flexible) and taught in an energetic and fun-filled way. We currently operate in a pool in Mauritius Crescent in Stellenberg.
Using teaching techniques that have been tried-and-tested in the United Kingdom, Swim Baby Swim’s baby and toddler programmes are designed to enhance the bond you have with your child in order to teach them how to enjoy the water and ultimately learn to swim as soon as they are physically able. That is why, as opposed to many other approaches, ours is about gently teaching you to teach your child to swim, in an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-filled environment.
Throughout the lessons we will explain what we are doing and more importantly why. This will involve very specific instructions using verbal, visual and tactile stimuli, to reinforce what we are teaching together. As your confidence grows, so will your child’s, reinforcing the bond you share.
The Learn-to-Swim and Stroke Correction programmes are aimed at preparing the young swimmers to be confident in the water with the swim with a good technique. From these programmes your child will be able to progress the competitive swimming.
All our instructors undergo our unique Swim Baby Swim training course and hold up-to-date First Aid, Poolside and CPR qualifications. The safety of your child is our highest priority.
